Preparedness
Build an emergency supply kit with enough supplies for 7 to 10 days for each household member.
Supplies should include:

Water - 1 gallon per person per day for 3 to 7 days

A water-tight storage container with a lid

Food – non-perishable and canned food supply for 3 to 7 days

Battery-powered or hand crank radio and/or Weather Radio with extra batteries

Cell phone with charger

First aid kit and first aid book

Flashlight & extra batteries

A manual can opener for food

Anti-bacterial hand wipes or gel

Wrench or pliers to turn off water

Blankets or sleeping bag – 1 per person

Seasonal change of clothing, including sturdy shoes

Checklist:
1. Secure your important family documents, such as copies of insurance policies, identification and bank account records. Place in a portable, water-tight container or zipped plastic food storage bag.
2. Remember your pets! Have their rabies vaccination documentation; store up food, water, and needed supplies.
